The Future Action Summit 2025


The Future Action Summit, organized by Echo Change, is an international summit aimed at empowering and training young leaders worldwide to advance the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This four-day event will take place from April 25 to April 28, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is designed to unite youth activists, changemakers, UN officials, social entrepreneurs, young political leaders, government representatives, policymakers, and advocates for the SDGs in a vibrant setting.
Application Process
Individuals interested in attending the Future Action Summit must apply by the deadline of March 8, 2025. The summit encourages participation from students, volunteers, and professionals who exhibit a strong commitment to making an impact and connecting with like-minded individuals. By participating in this summit, attendees can shape a better tomorrow.
Key Features of the Summit

Eligibility Criteria
The summit is open to participants from all nationalities and backgrounds, specifically targeting individuals aged 16 and above. Notably, there are no prerequisites for English language tests like IELTS or TOEFL. This inclusivity extends to students, volunteers, recent graduates, and professionals alike. Attendance at the summit from April 25 to 28, 2025, is mandatory.
There are different funding options available:
- Fully Funded Seats: Include round-trip airfare, accommodation, meals, airport transfers, forum access, and an event toolkit.
- Partially Funded Seats: Cover accommodation, meals, airport transfers, forum access, and an event toolkit.
- Self-Funded Seats: Include accommodation, meals, forum access, and an event toolkit, with participants responsible for their own airfare.

Participation Categories
The Future Action Summit features three categories of funding aimed at assisting participants with their expenses, through a nominal application fee of $16.50:
- Fully Funded: This category covers round-trip airfare, shared accommodation, meals during the event, airport transfers, and includes certification and toolkit.
- Partially Funded: Offers shared accommodation, meals, certification, and toolkit.
- Self-Funded: Covers only shared accommodation and meals, with participants responsible for their airfare.
All applicants for fully funded and partially funded positions will complete the same application form and be evaluated on their skills, experience, passion, and motivation. Those not selected for funding can still apply for self-funded positions.
